THE FOSSIL RECORD: VOL I - POTTER'S ROAD

I’m starting to go through my archives of nearly 20 years of recordings and releasing some of my music that I didn’t put out for one reason or the other over the years.

First off …this 2013-ish recording of “POTTER’S ROAD” I did in Nashville at my friend JASON HALL’s basement studio. I’d written the song with (current HITTKICKER) DANIEL DAVIS a decade earlier in my college band “Reckoning Day.”

This version has BEN OWENS and DANIEL DAVIS on guitars TROY WOODWARD on drums and I think JASON HALL played bass….it was many beers ago.

I had recorded the basic idea for the tune in my “home studio” (my postage stamp sized closet in my dinner plate sized apartment Tallahassee) on an 8 track zoom recorder and Dan helped me arrange the parts and laid down all the really great slide guitar. We ended up recording our full band version (along with a 8 other songs in 3 days) in Venice, Fl at Tony “BONES” Fiorentino’s home studio. That version made it on the local Tallahassee Radio.
